After some American family members travelled to India for a traditional Indian wedding, they were surprised at many of the cultural differences in body languages, bargaining, medical practices, and public etiquette. One thing that can be helpful when we encounter things that are unfamiliar to us is to remember: "it's not wrong, it's just different!" This attitude helps us to remember that many of the cultural differences we encounter do not need to be sources of conflict and allows us to form healthier relationships across cultural lines.
